Software Process Improvement


Pendére has a wealth of experience in process improvement in the Software Engineering Institute’s (SEI’s) Capability Maturity Model – Integrated (CMMI). ISO standards, and Six Sigma.

At Pendére, we are leaders and do-ers and can be actively involved in your initiative rather than standing on the sidelines, telling others what to do.  Our consultants have hands-on, real world experience in implementing the various aspects of process improvement initiatives.  For example, our consultants have written numerous processes for requirements management, project planning, estimation, testing, issue tracking and others for numerous companies.  We bring a point of view on what works and what doesn’t and why.  We make recommendations based on client needs and our experience.  We are not process improvement box-checkers.  Our consultants have successfully managed to the plans developed and use the processes and methodologies that we develop.

Our approach is straight forward for implementing process improvements.  We:

Conduct an assessment of project(s) to establish a maturity baseline and provide a readout of the results to the client along with areas of strength and opportunities for improvement

Develop a prioritized action plan for improvements

Participate in a manner that is congruous with client needs (e.g., training, methodology and process development, tool selection and implementation, building practice areas, providing consultants and/or recruiting for client positions)

Conduct post project assessment(s) to measure progress made (post project?)

bullet

Update/refine the continuing path forward
